Advisory for the owners, founders, and stewards of closely-held enterprises. A small practice — engaged one client at a time, and only by introduction.
If software & AI can keep the books, then why would a well-run enterprise still need a CPA? The answer is one every seasoned entrepreneur already knows. Algorithms metabolize hard information — ledgers, filings, line items — with admirable speed. They struggle, still, with the soft: the judgement calls, the timing, the human story that precedes every consequential decision.
Compliance is being commoditized. Advisory is not. The modern CPA remains what they have always been — a translator between an enterprise and the frameworks that govern it, and a steward of the relationships those frameworks cannot measure. Such work is not done well at scale. This practice therefore remains small by design, and is opened only at the suggestion of those already known to it.
Engagements are accepted by introduction only. If you have been referred, a brief note is welcome here — each is read and replied to personally.
